Wingus & Dingus

I LOVE IT!!!  I like the people I work with. I like what I do. I like my hours. I like working with more people and getting to know more people. I like getting around the office and working in a team. I love my new job. It is so much fun.

Just thought you should know.

And I start on Monday!!!  Hooray!!!!

It is with Corning – WAY excited to start. A little nervous because I haven’t been in a large business atmosphere for four years – since Fujitsu…

Also I am not a morning person…but I better start being one. At my last job, I didn’t have to be there until 9:30 and then 10:00am. So….8:00am comes really REALLY early after that. =) Yes, I know I am lazy….but I won’t be for long! Hooray!!!

I called Cienna and Majel a while back and Cienna told me that she was saving all her money so she could come to North Carolina and visit Uncle Adam and me. Then I heard Majel in the background yell, “ME TOO!”

Then there was a pause…

Then Cienna says: “Nevermind, Majel doesn’t want to come see you, she wants to go to Texas to see Leland.”

Me: Cienna, are you still coming to see me or did your plans change too?

Cienna: Yeah, I’m still coming, I want to see Fry fry…

Ok…I guess I know where I stand. Somewhere behind Texas and all who live there, and my dog.

So I was talking on the phone with Maddy when she needed to talk to Uncle Adam. So I put him on. They start talking about swim lessons and Adam tells her that he took swim lessons when he was little. I guess Maddy was feeling a little left out about telling what happened in the past and decided to tell him her plans for the future:

“When I grow up, I want to be a mom and drive a car.”

CUTE!!! Whatever Maddy wants to do, I am sure she will accomplish it. She is very ambitious. =)

Sorry. I have tried to catch up, but that leaves me more behind than before…so I will have to just start from this point on and see what I can do for the back posts later. =)

On Tuesday, I got a call back from Adecco and was offered the Corning job (Administrative Assistant) pending a background check and drug test. I went in to Adecco at 1pm and left there after doing tons of paper work and watching a really boring orientation movie at 3:15pm. I had to hurry over to the office where they would do the drug test. It turned out to be a hair drug test and me thinking that they would need a strand or four at most didn’t think much about it.

Until….they took about 50-100 strands out of the middle of my head. So if I have an alfalfa…that is why. =)

Anyway, considering I’ve never done drugs and have a clean background, I am hoping to have a start date soon. =)

I woke up today with Maddy coming up to the room and putting her hand on my cheek and telling me that it is “wake up time”. Those who know me know that I am NOT a morning person…but I LOVE that kind of wake up time. =)

After that, we went to the donut shop. Let me just say….YUM!

After the yummy donuts we went shopping at Michaels – not the best experience. Turlock Michaels totally stinks. Their customer service is ridiculous. I did buy some beads to make some bracelets with the girls and Em bought some cute wooden things to paint, but other than that, I think I will boycott the Turlock Michaels from this point forward. Jerks.

We did have some fun outside of the dollar store:

After the dollar store we came home and enjoyed our loot and played outside.

I am not sure why we ran up to that spot in the yard, but I think it was because the Garbage Truck was coming…

It was really HOT, but Porter didn’t want to go back into the house to get a drink so he did this:

We then went to Costco for lunch and got some pizza and churros. YUM!

And then we had some awesome painting going on:

Oh and I got serenaded…it was awesome!

Today was more swimming, friends and great family!!!

We started out swimming. Gene brought the kids over and we had a blast swimming and hanging out. It was fun to see the Gene’s family again and just chill in the pool. What a blast!

In the evening, I went to see Lett and Frank. We were going to get Jamba Juice, but Frank was late so Lett and I changed our plans and went to hang out with my good friends Ben and Jerry instead. Ahhhh YEAH!!!! Needless to say it was fantastic. So good!

Oh and Lett found my camera – which was fantastic!!! And gave it to me before we went to see B&J. ROCK!

Frank was working out so he was a little late… When he finally got there, he was starving, so we went to Mexicali Grill and sat down. I had to run home pretty quickly after he got there because Momba and I were going to go visit Em and her family. =) So I ran home, ate these awesome philly cheese steak things that Momba made, threw some junk in the car and left.

As soon as we were on the road, we started to smell something a little on the funky side. We got a little worried so called Dad and started heading back home…then we didn’t smell it anymore so we turned around again.

We got to Em’s a little after 10pm and we stayed up and talked for a little bit and then headed to bed. I got to grab Maddy out of Em’s bed. I was trying really hard to not wake her up, but I did…oops. But she is such a sweet little gal and patted my back all the way into her room. Such a cute little girl. I was really excited to see Em and her family again!!!

Today we went to the beach – our tide pool beach – and Upper Crust Pizza. It was an amazing day!!!

After the beach we followed tradition and went to Upper Crust Pizza! YUM! It was so yummy and fun to sit down and eat with family. As you can see we enjoyed ourselves.
