Getting Comfy….

For New Year’s Eve we ended up going to Buffalo Wild Wings. Probably would have been better had we gone to York to visit Candice, but I am always nervous to drive for long distances on a holiday that is supposed to be one big party.

For the record it was far less awesome than expected. Especially after everything I had heard from a bunch of people. But it was worth it to catch this little man getting comfy on the table. :)

He cracks me up! Love this little man.

Comments from the Peanut Gallery:

Ruthie: Who’s that gorgeous kiddo?
Me: That’s my awesome son. =)
Ruthie: He’s so stinkin cute!!

Stephanie Poole / Redmon: LOL….oh tooo stinking cute.

Stephanie Grose: LOL! Cutie tootie!! Happy New Year!!!!

Uncle Gene: What fun. Have a good new Years!

Most of our regular peanut gallery (family) were visiting TX having blast so we didn’t get much response. :)

Color Charlie Focused…

Charlie absolutely LOVES to color. So for Christmas we got him a few coloring books and some crayons. (These were taken by Adam while I was taking a nap.)

Love this sweet little color-er. :)

My Little Buddy

Playing with his musical star pyramid thingy. (That was for you Mom Watkins… haha)

Adam (11/6/2011)

After cleaning out underneath our white cabinets that we use as a pantry: “I found three stuff under there.” :)

Charlie :) (11/3/2011)

Uh-Oh – This one is not new, he’s been saying it for a long time. He uses it for anytime he throws things, drops things etc.
Thank you – This one started two days ago when I handed him something and asked him to hold it for me. :) He said it again tonight when he helped me to turn out the light of our laundry closet.
Book – This one is not new either. He loves to read. :)
Hot – He started saying this a while ago as well. Adam told me that I “looked hot”  that particular day and Charlie mimicked him. Now he says it when he goes into the kitchen, but he always wispers it. It is awesome. :)

More coming. :)

Charlie Busting His Groove Thang to Sing Off – haha

Halloween is Here…. Kind Of…

I have the cutest and sweetest giraffe in the world. :)

See?

He actually hated the costume, but he loved being outside so we compromised.

The above is him giving me stink face and yelling at me. Poor little fella being tortured by a giraffe costume.

Playing with the cones on the back deck. :)

Sweet little man. :) He looks a little mischievous doesn’t he?

Daddy trying to get him situated so we can get a good photo of him. :)

Crawling little giraffe.

On our way to the trunk or treat we were crashing. :) Thanks Newton/Conover ward!! He giggled right after I took the picture. He’s hilarious!

Another on the way, tolerating the costume since it wasn’t as warm in the car. Poor kid is like his mama and hates to be hot.

At the trunk or treat Charlie walked every where and checked out every one and every thing. He even busted a groove when they played some music he liked. I tried to get a video but he stopped way too soon <ribbit>. It was so much fun for us to watch him.

Charlie!!! 10/26/2011

Here are some words that Charlie says:

  • Daddy – His most favorite person in the universe.
  • Om or Mom – That girl he tolerates who will sometimes feed him, play with him, snuggle him and who puts him to sleep mostly.
  • Hi – What he will sometimes say when he waves.
  • Doggie – His favorite animal.
  • <Panting> – What a doggie says.
  • Kitty – His second favorite animal.
  • Mooo – What a cow says.
  • Hello – What he says when he pretends to talk in the phone, the remote, or any other phone like object.
  • Shoes – He has to put these on to go outside. He calls both his shoes and his socks shoes.
  • Mickey – Michael: The daycare provider’s son. I like him more than mommy when she comes to pick me up.
  • Mo – Morgan: The daycare provider’s daughter. I like her more than mommy when she comes to pick me up.
  • Copper – The daycare provider’s doggie. I have only heard him say this once… Mostly he will just say doggie.
  • Bye – Will sometimes say it and / or wave it. But not often.

Words he understands, but doesn’t say….yet:

  • Ba or Bottle – YUMMY!
  • Tubby or Bath or Tub (or simply the water running) – WATER FUN!!!! This excites him beyond belief. So darling.

Man I love that cute little man of mine!!

It’s A…..Another Boy!!! :)

I thought for sure that this one would be a girl. Mostly because this pregnancy has been the complete opposite of what I had with Charlie. I’ve not been as sick. I’ve been craving completely different things. My food aversions have been completely different. It’s just been so different.

In the ultrasound room both Adam and I were slightly shocked to find out it was another boy, but both of us are truly happy with another little boy. The Watkins curse has been lifted. Charlie will have a brother to pal around with. We can still have a guest bedroom for when the family comes to visit. We can get bunk beds – my favorite. Now, we  just have to come up with a boy name now when all of the names we’d been thinking of were girl names.

Texts from friends and family regarding our news:

Stephanie Poole / Redmon / Something New: How about them apples! I was secretly wishing for a red headed lil girl but i’ll take another adorable lil man! haha, I am so happy for you guys :) (She’s newly engaged and has been MIA since before Charlie was born.)

Kristin McCleery: Congrats Annie!!! I thought it would be [a girl] too!

Aunt Quynh Lamoreaux: Hahahah, good for Charlie. Congratulations. Consider yourself lucky.

Grandpa Lamoreaux: Way Cool! I am really looking forward to meeting the little guy.

Uncle Gene: Kewl, congrats…

Aunt Allie: Yayayayayayayayayaya!!!!! Boys are awesome!

Aunt Emily: Yay!!! Maddy just looked at me and said seriously?!?!?!?!?! Lol. (LOL.. yeah we knew she’d be ticked. Adam even mentioned it in the ultrasounds room. lol) How funny!!!

Aunt Amy: Hello! That’s just MEAN! (We teased them at first.:) ) Congratulations!! Are you calling chart lady? :) boys are so, so fun! (There is a wonderful woman in our ward who consulted her chart and said we were having a girl. She was wrong. :) )

I was wondering why I didn’t have any from Adam’s side of the family, but it turns out we texted our sides of the family. I’ll have to check his phone to see if he kept any responses for posterity. I do remember that Shea was the first to respond. All of them were wise enough not to respond to the tease. :) Love our family!!!!

This Made Me Smile….

Waiting for Daddy to come home…
